Would you like to take part in a free four-week course, creating a site specific performance in East London?

This year, the Summer School will explore the personal histories of people living and working in the buildings visible from the Steve Whitson Studio at Toynbee Studios. Participants work both inside the building and in the diverse and vibrant surrounding areas including Brick Lane, Whitechapel and the City.

The Hospital Club has now opened a philanthropic department focusing on supporting up and coming creatives. They're about to launch a new scheme called 'Creatives in Residence', backed by several big names across the creative industries, which is an extension of their previous Mentoring Programme.

The 'Creatives in Residence' is open to artists, writers, fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians, graphic designers, actors, journalists and those who work in TV, cinema and theatre.

APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR SEPTEMBER ’08 FASHION FORWARD SPONSORSHIP

The British Fashion Council (BFC) have announced that they are accepting applications for Fashion Forward sponsorship. As part of the BFC’s support for young British design talent, Fashion Forward offers funding for production of a catwalk show during London Fashion Week. Established in September 2006, internationally renowned designers such as Giles, Jonathan Saunders and Sinha-Stanic have all benefited from Fashion Forward sponsorship.

He would like a window, and a plug and a place to keep his soya milk. People will tell you he is a nice young man and worth having about.

Calling all Artists

Collision is an annual art and music festival that happens over three nights in the exciting warehouse space of Area10 Project Space Peckham. Bringing together artists from different disciplines to create a unique experience for audience and artists alike.

NEW GEN DESIGNER SEARCH FOR SEPTEMBER ‘08 COMMENCES

The British Fashion Council (BFC) today starts its seasonal search for the UK’s New Generation (NewGen) fashion designers. Last season in excess of 200 designers applied to be part of the BFC sponsorship initiative supported by TOPSHOP whose alumni include designers such as Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson, Giles Deacon, Christopher Kane and Marios Schwab.
