Design Commission for 2012 Mascots

A new opportunity has just been advertised on the London2012 website which I wanted to make sure you were aware of. Either for yourself or in very many cases because I know you will have a range of interesting people that you might be able to pass this on to.

The opportunity is that to design the mascots for London 2012. This is a very big deal as you can imagine and working with LOCOG colleagues, I wanted to make sure we get the very best creative talent applying. Halloween March Of The Dead

'The March of the Dead' was conceived two years ago as a creative collaboration between Passing Clouds and the Strangeworks Collective and involving many local artists, performers and musicians.

For the third year running they will be holding a big Halloween parade on Friday 31st October from the cemetery in Stoke Newington down the Kingsland Road to Gillett Square (by the Vortex) where there will be a performance.

On Tuesday 28th the Climate and Energy Bill is going through its final stages and we need to go to Parliament to give the mighty Nigel Griffiths MP our support.

He is heading up over 50 MPs who will refuse the bill if it does not include international aviation and shipping. This could be a monumentous occasion of democracy sorta working. And we're well keen on that (even if it would make us a little redundant).
