Personal Brief

Edward fell into circus while studying a literature degree in 2006, as a way to pay for his education. It was a love affair that lasted, and after a brief sojourn as a fiction editor he co-founded Chivaree Circus with his partner in life and crime, fellow performer Lily Raptor. They now produce circus entertainment for events, cabarets, festivals and club nights in the UK and internationally. A particular emphasis is placed on words, stories and ideas within performance.

Despite moving away from literature, he never gave up writing. First working on a radio show called the Culture Circus, then going on to write for a number of publications specifically for circus and cabaret.
