editorial title

Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitches, Dykes, Faghags, and Whores!
Said with the greatest of affection - off course! No, this isn't our Jerry 'cook in the kitchen, whore in the bedroom' Hall moment. No, this is our 'very sexy, very sexual, very dirty, very erotic' moment - thanks to our Guest Editor, the iconic New Yorker Penny Arcade. Hearty sense of humour and lust for life? This show's for you! She's the lady who tackles sex and censorship head on - hailing from the NY downtown performance and art scene of Warhol, Quentin Crisp, Jackie Curtis and the gang from The Play-House of the Ridiculous (the inspiration for the Rocky Horror Show). Penny's ballsy show - Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore - is now in rehearsal, working with some of London's hottest talent before it opens at the Arcola Tent, Dalston. In the Run Riot Interview with Penny, she reveals the truth behind her inspiration, battling with censorship, and the great London cast she's working with. And - can she save us from being the 51st politically correct state? Read the interview and meet the cast here.

Competitions - we have some great tickets going to see productions at LIFT, as well as the Postcards festival at Jackson's Lane, plus Greg McLaren at the Soho Theatre, and Cantina at the London Wonderground on the Southbank.

Lastly - thanks to Elle magazine for including Run Riot in their Top 5 London blogs.

Bottoms up! RRxx
