The Difference Engine could be deemed the show with a difference. Although it’s being presented within the context of a major international dance festival, dance is not its sole creative motor.


Forget Wayne McGregor, Akram Khan, Hofesh Shechter and all the other, newer kids on the UK dance block. Come autumn 2011 the choreographer with the highest profile in London might very well be Richard Alston.

To call the four artists involved in the Dance Umbrella presentation Is You Me accomplished is an understatement.
Consider first the two dancers, Louise Lecavalier and Benoît Lachambre.
