East Berlin, 1985: A notorious English musician flees London to seek renewed freedom, prestige and romance on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain.

But when his son arrives to settle old scores, the glamour of his new life quickly fades. Finding himself washed up, facing an ugly past and a bleak future, an unlikely guardian angel appears and through the power of beautiful music, impenetrable doors are unlocked and walls are broken down, opening up a dark but shining pathway to bliss, to heaven. With music from Can, Klaus Nomi, Iggy Pop and David Bowie, Hobo Theatre return with another extraordinary project in an unconventional space in Battersea.
