Weta Digital’s Senior VFX Supervisor Joe Letteri discusses the changing landscape of visual effects creation and the integration of virtual tools into the film production process.

Four-time BAFTA winner Letteri has been at the forefront of many of today’s modern VFX techniques including the virtual production pipeline created through his work with James Cameron on Avatar. 

He will discuss the origins of virtual production from The Lord of the Rings to Avatar, The Adventures of Tintintrilogy and the new Planet of the Apes franchise, and will share insights from his most recent projects, Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The BFG and Luc Besson’s new sci-fi epic, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
