"Called a star's orbit to pursue,
What is the darkness, star, to you?"

Friedrich Nietzsche

Blackout is a one off warehouse rave dreamt up by Circus promoter Jodie Harsh (read the Run Riot Interview with Jodie here) and Caligula's Leo Belicha. Over seven hours, a seldom-used warehouse space in the heart of Shoreditch will become a vast den of debauchery, an aural feast of the finest dance music, and a high gloss production that only two of London's most exciting club nights joining forces can achieve.

To transform the dance floor into a cloak of darkness, our most basic request is that everyone wear black  - abide by that rule and you're welcome to behave freely and explore your imagination...

To a soundtrack played by Swedish super-producer Style of Eye, Shake Aletti and residents Harsh, Di Angelis and Ouch, the guest will be entertained by a stunning light and visual show and experience two complete and utter blackouts throughout the evening. Be prepared...

STYLE OF EYE Lock up your genres - Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye is making a name for himself in techno, but his productions are essentially a journey through everything from techno to house via raw percussion and minimal, floaty melodies.

Both intelligent but jaw-wobblingly satisfying at the same time, Style Of Eye’s productions are testament to the hotbed of talent springing forth from the underground scene. He's had a hit album - Duck, Cover, and Hold - as well as singles such as Girls and Puss Puss, and has remixed Miike Snow, Lily Allen, Fake Blood and Empire of the Sun. He's a resident at Cream, Ibiza, and one of THE names to drop on the international dance scene.

SHAKE AETTI  Over the past year, Shake Aletti has been making considerable waves in his hometown of Sheffield and beyond. Currently supporting Fenech-Soler on their UK tour, he was handpicked by BBC Radio 1 Introducing to play on their stage at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona. He was also recommended by the Mercury Music Prize panel as a “one to watch”. Taking his name from Vince Aletti, the journalist who first coined the term ‘disco’, Shake Aletti aka Steve Nicholls, has worked with the likes of Toddla T (who’s since become a big champion), and Roots Manuva. Shake Aletti is the latest signing to Moda Music, Moda’s record label arm and an imprint that’s quickly earned a reputation for signing white-hot new talent.

JODIE HARSH is the blonde hair and brains behind Circus and an international DJ. A vision in hot pink lipstick with a big box of house and electro tricks, Jodie has played Pacha (Ibiza), Glastonbury Festival, Matter and Ministry of Sound, and toured the world with Manumission. As well as Gatecrasher residencies and an EP in the works, Jodie has also brought back Circus with a vengeance which is now bigger and better than ever before.

KRIS DI ANGELIS is our soon to be legendary resident disc jockey and has become one of THE hottest names to drop in sophisticated dance circles. His incredible musical knowledge and breathtaking technical ability have seen him picked up by the likes of Defected, Space, and Caligula. Meanwhile his own productions and remixes for the likes of Roisin Murphy, Groove Armada, Lily Allen, and Mariah Carey have been hammered the world over not to mention his most recent mix of Kylie Minogues recent single All The Lovers. We are enormously proud!

Robert Ouch is the resident DJ at Caligula and the brains behind Spangles with Luca C (Cazals).

So, Goths, Fashion Mag Editors, Gallery Curators, and Black Ops can't claim black all to themselves, no way Jose! Of the following, which is the odd one out?
