Genius pop-up gallery host their second night of up-and-coming Folk bands in an intimate and twee barn.

Folie à Deux an exciting new pop-up gallery and music venture are proud to announce their second Alternative Folk music evening at Utrophia Project Space - an old ice-cream factory turned gallery space - in New Cross. The line-up features performances by some of the most up-and-coming and talented folk musicians around: Tristram (Broken Sounds), Laish (Willkommen Collective) and Kristin McClement (Willkommen Collective). Held in Utrophia's transformed cosy and intimate barn space, perfect for viewing experimental contemporary folk, it will be a joyous and inspiring evening laced with mulled wine, cider and beer! Next door there will also be the opportunity to view the art exhibition Floorwork until 9pm displaying the work of Philippa Johnson who - focusing on surface, texture and highlighting the beauty of everyday objects - will be transforming Utrophia's gallery's space by weaving an intricately patterned rug out of adhesive tape.

In November 2010 Folie à Deux launched their first visual arts exhibition "I have this strange kind of feeling and I just can’t place it…" (listed in Time Out’s Best Galleries in London) at Utrophia Project Space, as well as their first Alt-Folk night featuring Dear Winesburg, Mariner’s Children and Amber States. After the wonderful success of this collaboration with Utrophia, Folie à Deux have decided to recreate the magic by hosting a series of Alt-Folk nights throughout the year in their welcoming barn space. Following the 26 February the next gig will be in April and their next art exhibition will be in the summer of 2011 in a new location.
