Over the last couple of weeks every chance I’ve had, I’ve have been dashing to an assortment of London Film Festival pre-screenings of feature films due to appear at the fest. As ever there’s a wide range on offer and the selection I’ve managed to catch so far reveals this…

Having heard vague but wonderful things about the One-on-One Festival I felt curious, excited and uncertain of what to expect as I rushed towards BAC's door.

On Sunday night, in a pleasant cider-haze, I stood in an industrial yard in the depths of East London surrounded by people dressed in inventive and outlandish attire. Everyone around me was singing raucously and banging makeshift drums in anticipation. A giant wicker chicken was about to be burned. I could not think of a more fitting end to the weekend.
