Our friends from Wilton Way are throwing another of their epic street parties-get involved!

Following the success of Wilton Way’s Royal Wedding Street Party, they are jointly holding a communal celebration on Sunday 3rd June 2012 to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. They would like to invite everyone to join in this Community event and celebrate the last 60 years of Hackney and the Queen’s reign. Bring your tables, chairs, food, friends and family and enjoy a day of celebrations for all ages.

The street will be split into eras, from the Hackney Empire to Violet’s Café, with banners lining the street and a festive atmosphere. Residents and their children are encouraged to dress up in their favourite era, from the 1950’s to now and get into the spirit!

If you play music or have an idea you think lends itself to the party please get in touch...! They would also be grateful for any donated decorations that can help bring the street to life.

Important information:

The Council will be closing the road from the top of Wilton Way behind the Town Hall to Landsdowne Drive. We would be grateful if you could arrange to move any vehicles by 10pm Saturday 2nd June or prior to the party to a nearby street. The Council may tow any cars left on the street.
