An interactive and immersive late night underground playground celebrating and showcasing the unstoppable creativity and community of Extinction Rebellion and the wider movement.

It may feel like the end of the world. That politics is broken. That all hope is lost.

Now is the time to come together and build a better world.

We know we can do it!

From five bridges to five continents, Extinction Rebellion has become the fastest growing climate and ecological movement in history. It has brought the emergency to the forefront of the media; it is holding governments worldwide to account. People everywhere are waking up to the need to protect our children and preserve all life on earth from the brink of destruction.

Beneath the streets of London, artists, performers, radicals, headlining music acts, luminaries and gardeners of the human spirit will come together with vital acts of co-creation, artistic expression, connection to the planet and one another: acts of celebration, grief, love, transformation and resilience.

So cone on and dance, play, create and discover first hand the booming community behind the disruptive actions that draw attention to the climate and ecological emergency, and how artists and rebels are responding to our unprecedented times.

We’ve woken up. Let’s rise up.

Money raised from tickets will go towards covering the costs of participating artists and the costs of running the event. You will also be invited to give a donation to Extinction Rebellion when purchasing your tickets.

About Extinction Underground

Extinction Underground presents a wide movement of artists and activists responding to the climate and ecological emergency.

Many have responded to Extinction Rebellion's (XR) call to reimagine their role in response to this crisis.

XR is a global movement that uses non-violent civil disobedience in an attempt to halt mass extinction and minimise the risk of social collapse. It is the fastest growing social movement of history, and within its first year has mobilised in over 70 countries, with nearly 500 local groups worldwide.

Culture Declares, Music Declares and other international movements and groups have since formed, with artists from Radiohead to the National Theatre declaring a climate and ecological emergency and taking necessary and radical action for climate justice.

Extinction Rebellion is just one part of an incredible and growing community of rebels and artists who together are building a creative response to the climate and ecological emergency.

As well as Extinction Rebellion's commitment to creating disruption through mass civil disobedience, as artists we are also committed to telling the truth, bringing people together, and to demonstrating the future we want to see through beautiful creative actions and community building.

Many share Extinction Rebellion's demands:

1. That governments TELL THE TRUTH by declaring climate and ecological emergency, and work with media and other institutions to communicate the urgency for change.
2 That we ACT NOW to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025.
3 That a CITIZENS' ASSEMBLY is established and makes decisions on climate and ecological justice.
