A night of film fashion and beauty inspired by Joan Crawford. Get your nails painted, hear a brow tutorial, get millinery advice, meet and mingle and celebrate the silver-screen icon.

Let’s step back to 1939 when Joan Crawford was at the pinnacle of her career. Joan had style but she was also savvy. The characters she depicted might have been stereotypes created by the studios of the time but Joan Crawford was a woman who knew what she wanted, ahead of her time and was a woman who made the most of her life and career. A representative from BFI will be telling more about this inspiring woman.

BFI is celebrating Joan Crawford with a whole season of films from throughout her career showing July through to September. So, in anticipation of the BFI Joan Crawford season The Revival Retro Boutique are inviting you to join them to learn more about Joan and participate in a fun night of beauty and fashion.

25 lucky women will get their nails done for free, painted Jungle Red just like they did in the movie, The Women. “It’s the colour everybody’s talking about you know.”

Joan Crawford was famous for her signature arched brow. Perfectly offset by a Peekaboo style hat. You can listen to a brow tutorial from The Powderpuff Girls and Atelier Millinery will be on hand for hat fittings and advice on the perfect peekaboo for you.

A Crawford inspired cocktail will be served to every guest upon arrival.

Revival Retro will present the latest fashions just arrived in the boutique. Style Joan would be proud of. Dresses The Women would have fought over.

So come and join for a night of gossip, glamour and good times.
