Enjoy the end of autumn in a new arts space, offering a programme that celebrates the pleasures of great books, film, wine and food, and cultural offerings from artists who live and work in Hackney.
Hackney With A Twist is a celebration of Hackney creativity, involving authors, artists, writers, filmmakers, publishers and independent creative businesses who all play a part in Hackney’s vibrant community.
Writer and broadcaster Michael Smith is artist-in-residence at L’Entrepôt for October, and has invited independent Hackney bookshop Guerrilla Bookshop and arts company Third Nature to co-curate an events programme for this ever-popular wine-and-food destination.
The programme highlights include a sumptuous ‘Literary Feast’ with readings from Michael Smith, DJ and producer Andrew Weatherall (Faber) and Hackney author Gareth E Rees (Influx Press) - all of whom share their love of food and Hackney with texts specially written for the evening.
There will also be a unique series of film screenings on offer from Hackney-based directors Shelly Love, Robert Rubbish (Le Gun) and Michael Smith.
