This much hyped newcomer to the festival scene promises a completely unique experience in an idyllic location.

The festival will be taking over the town of Portmeirion- with sub-tropical vegetation and superlatively surreal Mediterranean architecture, there is a distinct sense of being somewhere serene, spiritual and very, very special.

Portmeirion is a unique and magical site, offering nature and eccentricity in equal measures.

You can sleep in a castle, a boutique tipi or your own tent. Watch a headline band in the lush colourful gardens, catch a comedian in the historical town hall, stroll to a string ensemble on the estuary promenade or lose yourself to your favourite DJ. Delight your senses from an eclectic mix of screenings, readings, performance art, installations, intimate talks and conversations. Chill in the luxury spa or stroll along the sandy shore or through the sacred woods on the very edge of Snowdonia.

The line-up already looks fabulous, featuring some of our favourite talent: Mary Epworth (read our interview with her here), Daughter, Lianne La Havas, Wave Machines,Bright Light Bright Light and DJs like Horse Meat Disco.

Stuart Maconie (BBC 6Music) will be once again hosting a mixture of spoken word, poetry, comedy and acoustic acts on the Piazza stage in the heart of the magical village. Faber Social and Caught By The River will again be curating the Estuary Stage, overlooking the River Dwyryd. The Gwyllt Woods will come alive with the Don't Tell Stories woodland trails.

13th-15th September
