Take a seat, put on your headphones and go beyond the headlines. With stunning video and immersive sound, filmmaker Reem Karssli connects you with the human story of the Syrian conflict.

Tuesday 02 - Saturday 19 October, 12:00, 14:00, 15:30, 17:00, 19:00 & 20:30.

‘I would like you to come with me on a journey. If you can. If you can imagine it.’

Now Is The Time To Say Nothing is an immersive film installation which follows the on-the-ground daily life of Syrian film maker Reem Karssli. When a group of UK teenagers who want to see beyond the headlines contacts Reem, a four year collaboration is born: this is the result.

With a capacity of just 14 people per showing, this intimate, reflective experience depicts the human story behind the news and explores how we can stay connected to each other when war and the basic need for survival get in the way.

A provocation against armchair passivity.
