BURLEXE is the ‘Vagina Monologues’ of Burlesque: a brand new theatrical show based on the stories of the incredible women who’ve created burlesque, old and new

At its heart is a series of live events about the lives of women in burlesque, mixing monologues with vocal and burlesque performance.

Cast includes:

- R’n’B and garage star Kele Le Roc (2 Mobo Awards, Basement Jaxx)

-  British Burlesque Legend, Jo King, founder of the pioneering London Academy of Burlesque

- long-term Burlexe actress and collaborator Chloe Ewart

The show’s first guest performance comes from Kiki Kaboom (London Cabaret Awards 2012, one of 21st Century Burlesque’s top 50 worldwide performers 2012 and star of Burlesque Assassins).

The show’s monologues were created from and inspired by real-life interviews of contemporary burlesque performers as well as stories of the legends. They reveal what it means to be a performer and subsequently, also what it means to be a woman.
