Featuring music from The Specials alongside Liv's new material, this new live art performance sees the artist and activist explore the fury and rage that stems from misgendering.

As part of Free Word's season All the Ways We Could Grow, Liv's new live art commission explores mis-gendering, the policing of bodies, and the assumption that trans and queer safety can only be an option if we go through the blistering labour of explaining ourselves constantly to others.

Liv Wynter
Liv Wynter (b. 1992) is an artist, educator, activist and writer from South London. Liv graduated from BA Fine Art at Goldsmiths in 2015 and has since become a notable voice within the political art scene. Liv was Artist in Residence at Tate Britain and Tate Modern on the Education Programme for 2017-18, until Liv resigned to protest the invisible inequalities of the institution. Liv is a founding member of WHEREISANAMENDIETA and stands in solidarity with Sisters Uncut, London Anti Raids, LGSM, Antifa, and any other grassroots organisation fighting austerity and oppression.
