Britain's largest bonfire and firework display just 25 miles outside of London.

The annual Brockham Bonfire is an all day fiesta which will satiate even the most avid arsonist. The festivities kick off at the Village Hall with a children's fancy dress parade at 14.00.  This is a prelude to the procession later in the afternoon at 18.15 which leaves the Village Green heading first North and then South before the lighting of the Bonfire at 19.45. The Fireworks display then follows at 20.15 and the evening concludes with a pig auction and a raffle draw. Every year over £20,000 is raised for local charities.

A selection of foodstuffs, from bacon sarnies to burgers, and hot drinks will be sold throughout, together with the pig roast... Rest assured, the event is a delight for all the senses. Once the Guy has been fixed to the bonfire, 500 plus burning torches will encircle the bonfire; and the fireworks display will truly titillate. The Brockham Bonfire puts The Thames' Millennium 'River of Fire' attempt to shame. Can London compete this year? Over to you Boris...
