Folk singer Nigel Of Bermondsey and storyteller Vanessa Woolf will be exploring the collection of Edward Lovett through words and music.

There will be an opportunity to view and handle lucky charms and folk objects from the Lovett collection and hear tales and songs about luck.

Nigel will be singing a song specially commissioned by The Cuming Museum for this event celebrating the life of Edward Lovett, collector of folk objects, charms, and, curiously mangles and alpine plants.

Vanessa will be telling a cautionary tale on the value of respecting the wisdom of the ancients.

There will also be a presentation on the life of Edward Lovett with a chance to handle objects from his collection.
