As part of Southbank Centre’s London Literary Festival, Margaret Atwood discuss her new novel Hag-Seed, a reimagining of The Tempest.

Atwood’s characteristically skewed take on Shakespeare’s tale of enchantment, revenge and second chances is filled with surprises and wonders all of its own.

Margaret Atwood is the author of more than 40 books of fiction, poetry and critical essays, including The Handmaid’s Tale, the Booker Prize-winning The Blind Assassin, the MaddAddam trilogy and The Heart Goes Last.

Hag-Seed is published as part of the Vintage Hogarth Shakespeare series, described by The Guardian as ‘the great rewriting project of the 21st century’.

Due to scheduling constraints, there will be no in-person book signings or meet and greet with Margaret Atwood. However, pre-signed copies of Hag-Seed are available upon ticket purchase with all books available for collection from Foyles at Royal Festival Hall, Level 2, on the day of the event.
