With Run Riot collaborator Dr Tamara Russell! Experience how art can be a calming antidote to the stresses of modern life & learn basic mindfulness techniques to help still the mind & be more present.

Do you find it hard to stop and really look at a painting? Do you find it hard to stop, full stop? The National Gallery is a source of quiet contemplation for many. However, most visitors only take the most cursory of glances – two seconds per painting according to one survey.

Enjoy the rare opportunity to sit alone, quietly in front of a painting for five minutes, in a closed-off room with adjusted lighting. The session will be rounded off with a chance to share experiences over a glass of wine.
