Director Baz Luhrmann presents his classic film on its 20th anniversary.

Baz Luhrmann, one of the world's most acclaimed and popular screen directors, appears exlusively at the British Library to discuss his film Romeo + Juliet plus other projects, followed by a film screening.

Luhrmann was established as one of the leading directors of his generation in 1996 with his adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, and making the most of sumptuous styling and a brilliant sound track,the story of the Montagues and Capulets is invigorated by setting it amid the gang wars of Venice Beach, California.

The bar will be open from 17.30.
