A live + video performance retelling the myth of Echo and Narcissus through internet obsessions, online personas, and late night longing.

I love you pumpkin. Forever ever. For ever ever.

For ever ever?

Through the blue light you see your own face reflected back at you. And there’s someone else behind the screen.

This is an internet dream myth of celebrity interviews, Instagram obsessions and tab after tab after tab — a place where desire and obsession and longing and loneliness are all just a click click away.

This is the first collaboration between Nick Finegan and Emma Stirling. Nick is a London-based performer, maker and daydreamer. He is excited by theatre + performance as an essentially queer space in which we might come together and discuss who or what we think we are. Emma developed her cross-disciplinary practice in New York. She is artistic director of Recursion Co and her work explores the intersections between performance, text, and video. Between them Emma and Nick have performed and exhibited work both in the UK and internationally at spaces including Bristol Old Vic, Battersea Arts Centre, the Glasgow School of Art, Theatre in the Mill, Warwick Arts Centre, and Dixon Place.

Developed at and supported by The Yard Theatre. In association with Recursion Co.
