Charlie Partridge

Personal Brief

Charlie Partridge is a fool.  He is half of comedy group Robin and Partridge, part of the team behind Rebel Bingo, and has somehow managed to write for Sunday Times Style and the BBC.  Here is what his agent says.

'As an actor, Charlie is pleased to have been in his first two features this year. Beg Borrow Steal's 'Common Ground' and Jason Attar's 'One Night in Powder'. He is also excited to have recently performed in shows for Gideon Reeling, Punch Drunk's sister company, and hopes to continue to work more with the company.

Along side acting, Charlie is a busy host, comedian and writer.

Charlie hosts a number of shows including The Pleasance's 'Laugh Your Farce Off', in which he will be appearing at Edinburgh this year, a number of shows at Bethnel Green Working Mens Club including 50s night 'Cream Revue', disco night 'Disco 54' and night of oddness 'Special Brew'. He has also hosted for Lucha Britannia wrestling and went with the show to Glastonbury's impressive Campo Pequeno Stadium, and for clothes swap party 'Swap-a-rama' with whom he went to Croatia's Stop Making Sense Festival. He hosts his own interactive movie night 'Alt Disney' with the show having its own tent at Secret Garden Party and has hosted shows for a number of corporate clients including Red Bull Formula 1, Playstation, Google, Vice and Eurostar. He has also hosted private events for Jarvis Cocker, Daisy Lowe and last year hosted the wedding of young British Artist Gavin Turk and Deborah Curtis.

In comedy, when not part of double act Robin and Partridge, Charlie is a stand-up and improviser. He performed his solo half hour in Edinburgh 2010 as part free fringe show 'East End Boy West End Girl'. As an improviser he directed and performed in The Oxford Imps. In 2007 he took the show on a US tour with workshops at Improv Olympic and performances at The Providence Improv Fest. The show received overwhelming positive reviews in Edinburgh that year including 5 stars from Three Weeks "This is the best improvised comedy I have ever had the pleasure to witness". Since then he has also performed with The Maydays in Brighton, with 'Scenes from Communal Living' in London and run alternative improv night 'Carnival des Phenomenes'. Finally, having recently completed a short clowning course with Dr Brown at Soho Theatre, he is increasingly delighted to explore what the genre has to offer.

Recent writing by Charlie includes the 'Clegg we Can', 'Alex James at McDonalds', 'Its only a Joke' and the musical 'West Side Tory' videos on the Robin and Partridge youtube channel as well as a post modern farce play 'The Tale of Two Scripties' recently performed at The Pleasance Islington. Much of his writing is currently for immersive launch events brands and his clients have included ghd, Nickelodeon, Playstation, Vitamin Water and The Royal Shakespeare Company.

Somewhere between all of these, Charlie has also found time to be part of the international Rebel Bingo revolution.

Charlie has been with the Rebel Bingo team since the show began in a small church hall, and now hosts the show, which appears in LA, Vegas and Rio, to 1000s across the UK. He has also hosted the show in New York and is part of the shows TV development for Sky.'
