As well as a visual artist, William is a founding member of the performance theatre group StrangeWorks, which creates site-specific theatrical experiences for venues such as the Barbican and Tate Britain. As is evident, storytelling informs all of William’s practice and the opening night of the Egg Importer will include a special one-off performance illustrating further stories that is not to be missed.

The Egg Importer is part of a wider ongoing project entitled The Last Bock, in which William is attempting to catalogue and gather as much information on his family line as relatives, memories and his own history start to disappear in time.
