1-13 May, 6-9 pm. Proops integrates our obsession with the fleeting progression of technology with the epic tradition of fine art painting. In this riveting new show, Proops creates a collection of dazzling and powerful pieces, including a reworking of Velazquez’ 1632 ‘Christ on the Cross’. In this transcription Proops constructs an image of human frailty and suffering, reworked with great tenderness to create a shocking new dimension.

Proops, who has been exhibiting since the age of fourteen, is an Honours graduate from Goldsmiths whose work has been exhibited in over twenty five shows in London including Cork Street and The Serpentine Gallery.
