Saxophonist YolanDa Brown is joined by her ten piece band and vocalist Shingai Shoniwa (The Noisettes).

A rising star in the UK, YolanDa is the only person ever to have won the Best Jazz MOBO award two years in a row, performing with Courtney Pine, Soweto Kinch and Jools Holland along the way. She will be performing material from her newest album – built around reggae rhythms, peppered with jazz inflections, given a gentle atmosphere with electronics and giving a flavour of the diverse music of her east London roots.

Performing here with her full band, her playing moves from thoughtful to playful as she bounces off the other instruments, fuelled by her guest musicians. Vocalist Shingai Shoniwa was once described by Rolling Stone as ‘the living, breathing manifestation of the rock & roll spirit’.
