Katie Crutchfield plays Scala supported by her sister's band Swearin'.
Following two sold out headline shows and a support tour with Tegan and Sera, Katie Crutchfield will be returning in October under her Waxahatchee moniker to play London’s Scala.
With 'Cerulean Salt', Crutchfield turns it up a notch and plugs in the guitar as well as adding a few band mates. A more accomplished and polished record than her debut, but no less intimate and affecting, the strength of 'Cerulean Salt' lies in the simplicity and purity of its songs; a quality that ties them to millennial pop-punk, with melodies that immediately penetrate alongside Crutchfield’s frank vocal, delivering devastating, straight-from-the-heart lyrics backed by lacerating guitars and slouchy basslines. 'Cerulean Salt' is already out and receiving rave reviews in the US on Don Giovanni and will be released in the UK on 1st July on Wichita Recordings.
