A tribute to the proto-punk band's influence on the musical landscape, with Alan Vega & Martin Rev aka Suicide bringing together classic material, new work, & collaborations with some famous fans.

Vega and Rev were misfits in the early 1970s New York arts scene, creating distorted, minimal and haunting electronic tones using early drum-machines and keyboards, while their punk-era contemporaries relied on heavy guitars.

Suicide first used the phrase A Punk Mass to describe some of their very earliest live performances and this show is conceived as a kind of closing of the circle; a chance for the audience and for fellow musicians to experience and pay tribute to a singular body of work.

This ticketed event is part Doug Aitken’s project Station to Station: A 30 Day Happening which  takes over the Barbican from Saturday 27 June with more than 100 free events over 30 days and special ticketed events every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.
