Monteverdi follows Orfeo as he descends into hell in search of his deceased love, and Silent Opera are giving the audience the chance to travel to the underworld with him.

In a Silent Opera, the singers and certain instruments are live, and mixed with a pre-recorded orchestra. So you hear the complete opera, no interruptions, no distractions. Pure opera. The exciting bit comes when they sample live loops, manipulate live singers and set it all against a newly composed backdrop of sound. You're free to wander the installation, to remove your headphones, to interact with the lights and sound and the set (and sometimes the performers, if you want...)

Join Orfeo as he descends through the wilds of hell to save his lost love. In a world where nothing is grounded and electricity is raw, harness the power and fight for Euridice. Can Orfeo charm the creatures and the gods? Or will he be thrown, tear-stained and forgotten to the blood-thirsty Bacchae? Join us on this unique, interactive journey to experience opera as it has never been before.
