Camae Ayewa, aka Moor Mother, brings her politically-charged afrofuturist experimentalism to London, with support from jazz duo Pat Thomas & Orphy Robinson.
Active as an interdisciplinary artist in Philadelphia for many years, Ayewa has produced music under the Moor Mother moniker since 2012. Combining the sonic palette of noise music with the snarl of punk and lyrical skill (Ayewa is a practicing poet), Moor Mother presents an angry, forward-looking take on the afrofuturism.
