The comedy-jazz juggernaut of The Horne Section returns to the West End for an initial run of eight late-night Saturday shows.Part improvised, part honed, part performance, part party.
Alex Horne and his magnificent band will be jamming with the biggest, best and most bizarre acts around. So far, it's picked up the likes of Simon Amstell, Ed Byrne, Jimmy Carr, Greg Davies, Dave Gorman, Neil Hannon, Harry Hill, Tim Key, Josie Long, The Magnets, Tim Minchin, Al Murray, David O'Doherty, John Oliver, Oompah Brass, Peter Serafinowicz, Shlomo, Tim Vine and Mark Watson.
Premiering in Edinburgh last year, The Horne Section has since enjoyed sell-out runs at the Soho Theatre, Union Chapel and Lyric Theatre in the West End. The Horne Section has also played at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. In the spring, Alex and the band recorded a pilot for BBC Radio 4. The show returned to Edinburgh this summer, playing another sold-out run in the coveted late-night slot at the World Famous Spiegeltent. Expect more big names, more big noises and more big fun.
