Visionary Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician Gilberto Gil performs his latest project Nos Á Gente, alongside musicians, singers and artists from within his circle of family and close friends.

Nos Á Gente sees Gilberto Gil surrounded on stage by his close musical friends and family for a set of timeless classics, plus material from his 2018 Latin Grammy-Award winning album Ok Ok Ok. Credited with shaping the musical landscape of Brazil via the Tropicália sound – a combination of pop, classical and bossa nova – his work is a celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture.

With a discography spanning over 50 years and 60 studio albums to date, Gil’s career expanded from his bossa nova roots to reflect his political awareness and social activism: his inspiration is drawn from a rich pool, including the reggae he was exposed to during his time in London as an exile. Gil eventually took his political and social activities to an official role, serving as Brazil’s Minister of Culture from 2003-2008.
