Enjoy an evening of soaring electronic sounds & hypnotic percussive pieces from Icelandic duo Kiasmos, & Brooklyn-based Dawn of Midi, celebrating UK-based record label Erased Tapes 10th anniversary.

Kiasmos is the duo of Icelandic BAFTA-winning composer Olafur Arnalds, known for his blend of minimal piano and string compositions with electronic sounds, and Janus Rasmussen from the Faroe Islands, known as the mastermind behind electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup. The two became best friends while based in Reykjavik, where Arnalds worked on Rasmussen’s projects as a sound engineer. See their mutual love for minimal, experimental music brought to life when they perform together as Kiasmos.

Also part of the evening are Brooklyn-based acoustic ensemble, Dawn of Midi, made up of Aakaash Israni from India on double bass, Amino Belyamani from Morocco on piano and Qasim Naqvi from Pakistan on drums. Hear their compositions that utilise sophisticated rhythmic structures from North and West African folk traditions live as part of this special show.
