A coming together of three wild sound-makers curated by the always brilliant label Blackest Ever Black.

Officer! is the project of Mick Hobbs, who has long been associated with some of the most important names in outsider and underground music. In the 70s and 80s, he performed extensively with This Heat and other artists based out of Brixton’s iconic Cold Storage studios, and in the 90s he joined Jad Fair’s influential nonsense-punk band Half Japanese. His work as Officer! reflects these experiences, displaying a similar blend of pop-gone-wrong sensibilities alongside freak-out tendencies.

Joining Hobbs on the bill is Australia-via-Berlin solo artist Carla Dal Forno, creator murky and atmospheric almost-pop music. Plus there’s Timo van Luijk in his Af Ursin guise with evolving and absorbing drone compositions.
