The much-awaited return of Pedro Almodóvar to the big screen arrives this summer with Julieta, a ravishing study of love and loss from one of contemporary cinema’s great auteurs.

Now on his 20th feature, Almodóvar adapts three short stories by the Canadian Nobel Prize-winner Alice Munro, using the multi-faceted relationship of mother and daughter to examine just how little we might know about the people we hold most dear.
