A celebration of eclectic screendance works that challenges the boundaries of movement-focused filmmaking

Frame Rush, London’s annual screendance film festival, returns to The Place for its 5th edition. Organised by the MA Screendance students of London Contemporary Dance School, the festival evolves each year taking on a new form and focus. As the field of screendance develops, so does Frame Rush, making it the perfect place to host an array of talented filmmakers and showcase some of the exciting work produced today.

Frame Rush 2023 features two programmes:

The matinee Graduate Screening spotlighting six short films created by the MA Screendance cohort of 2022, followed by a discussion.

The evening International Screening presents twelve short films by filmmakers from all over the world. This year's festival includes inter-generational collaborations, films where bodies ground us in their lived environments, and unconventional documentaries telling captivating stories.
