In commemoration of Harvest Festival month across September Folk Horror Cinema Club will be screening Jaromil Jireš' surrealist, Czechoslovakian horror, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders.
The comedian and broadcaster Robin Ince returns to FHCC to introduce this fairytale-fantasy film which is said to have inspired Angela Carter's The Company of Wolves as well as Neil Jordans's 1984 film adaptation. The film's soundtrack by Luboš Fišer is a favourite of Twisted Nerve Records' Andy Votel as well as the late Trish Keenan from the band Broadcast.
