Berlin Bouncer tells the story of Berlin, from a city parted by the Berlin Wall, to the party central of today, through the eyes of its most legendary Doormen - Frank, Sven and Smiley.

As iconic as the club itself, Berghain's infamous Sven Marquardt has been manning the door of the Berlin institution for 15 years.

Profiling Sven, along with fellow legendary Berlin bouncers Frank Künster and Smiley Baldwin, director David Dietl delves into the irresistible, pounding heart of the city's club scene. When the Berlin Wall fell, nightclubs became some of the first truly reunited spaces in the city.

As Frank, Smiley and Sven open up about their lives inside and outside the clubs, they paint a vivid picture of the city through its period of greatest transformation: from the fervour of reunification through to the present, as increasing gentrification threatens the subculture's spaces.
