Though overshadowed by Elizabeth Taylor's extravagant production, Vivien Leigh's depiction of Cleopatra still stands the test of time.

Based on the play by George Bernard Shaw, Leigh’s transformation from frightened child to queen of Egypt under the tutelage of a fatherly yet attractive Julius Caesar (Rains) perfectly demonstrates her versatility as a screen actress.

The screening on 21 November will be introduced by Renee Glynne, production secretary on the film.
