Luca Silvestrini, charismatic Artistic Director of the inimitable Protein Dance, whose many works for Wapping includes the now legendary 'boys in towels' (2001), part of the Jerwood Stairworks Series. Luca sets a fragment from TO THE BONE with dancers Thomas Goodwin and Vicki Manderson. 'To The Bone [is] slick, funny, original and rehearsed to perfection. My favourite part was when he literally got into her pants; an unexpected and amusing treat for all those naughty and nice girls and boys out there!' so says Lisa Haight from londondance.co

Since 2001, the relationship between the Jerwood Charitable Foundation and The Wapping Project has been a richly creative partnership which has resulted in more than 100 commissions ranging from choreography, photography, jazz and new music, film making, installation and fashion and has thrust many of it commissionees into the centre of London’s cultural life. It would not be a proper celebration of The Wapping Project's last decade without acknowledging the riches of this particular relationship and underscoring it with a freshly conceived body of work. Dancing The Decade draws on their long history of commissioning and mounting new dance pieces and they are thrilled to invite back choreographers Lea Anderson, Shobana Jeyasingh, Luca Silvestrini, and Maresa Von Stockert and welcome long time supporter of The Wapping Project, Wayne McGregor to challenge with FRONTIERS AND FRAGMENTS short works, fragments, from some of their major pieces, reinvented site specifically in the Boiler House.
