Hannah Sullivan’s Echo Beach is dance theatre that revels in the casual social dancing that is unique to everyone; Nic Green evokes the lands of ancestors through the dance of drum and moustache.

Hannah Sullivan - Echo Beach

Hannah has a dance collection. It is a collection she has been gathering for a while and she calls it ‘dancing like everyone I know’. Hannah has discovered that It’s in the detail, that’s what makes your dance so specific.

Echo Beach uncovers the delicacies of family life, unveils memory through music and movement, and touches upon the fragility of what is seen and what is felt. Hannah Sullivan is a Bristol based Performance Maker currently making solo performance that incorporates autobiographical text, contemporary movement and collaborations with other artists in sound or costume. Hannah wishes to follow gut instinct, reflect on contemporary existence and celebrate the creative agency of the individual. Hannah is a graduate of Dartington College of Arts and The University of Bristol and is a member of Interval, an artist-led support network and space.

Nic Green - Fatherland

Born to a Scottish father whom she met only once, Nic follows the mystery of her paternal line. Accompanied by an ensemble of musicians, Fatherland draws on the energies and archetypes of a bloodline: The cathartic, intoxicating dances of the terra firma; the ancient warrior women painted and wild; the sadness of the songs, spoken in Gaelic tongue and the complex psycho-geography of this land. Based on the patterns of a traditional Highland Jig, Fatherland unfurls to consolidate disparate and unknown aspects of Nic's identity.  Fatherland was created by Nic Green, Tim Harbinson and Alasdair Campbell, with dramaturgical support from Deborah Richardson-Webb. Nic was nominated for Best Female Performer at Dublin Fringe Festival for her role in this work.
