A weird, surreal, and darkly compelling world double bill of dance works from acclaimed dance artist Arthur Pita.
To experience these works is to step into a macabre world, a world full of violence, grotesque features, and hanging bodies. Inspired by a song by The Violent Femmes, ‘Country Death Song’, it’s a twisted tale of a twisted family, mired by dysfunction, incest and, eventually, murder.
It’s always worth seeking out an Arthur Pita piece – his work The Metamorphosis earned numerous accolades, while his piece The Little Match Girl returns to Sadler’s Wells for the third year in a row in 2017.
