Steamy stuff!

Tis the season of aircon and brollies - and rather surprisingly, a fine time to see a movie. Let us explain.

Our Guest Editor this week is Head of Programming at the East End Film Festival - Andrew Simpson. Running from 1-12 July, you can expect great screenings, events and parties. It's a hot bed of talent, in more ways than one dear reader. To give you a taste of what's what, we asked Andrew the key questions (interview here).

In his top-4 highlights, he picks out the film and music event Industrial Soundtrack (with Throbbing Gristle) plus DJ set from the iconic Cabaret Voltaire. Then there's a dramatic evening - the Masonic Masquerade (Andaaz Hotel) featuring classic horror films and a live set by the brilliant Puppini Sisters, and more! For those of you in awe of The Godfather of Dub - then Lee Scratch Perry's Vision of Paradise is a must! Finally, there's the east end classic - Dressed as A Girl - takes a gritty, punchy, ballsy look at the east end drag cabaret scene. This'll be screened at the Dalston Roof Park and hosted by the fabulous Jonny Woo (who has rather a large role in the movie too). Fancy that!

Competitions? Yes! Work-it at Disco 54 at BGWMC (yes, that's a racy party)! The Voodoo Love Orchestra at Rich Mix (live music)! Or - for some edgy Fringe theatre - head to The Place for these double bills of top companies - Billy Cowie/Made In China and Sarah Blanc/The Alchemist Theatre.

Jobs? Yes! Check out our Notice section. As for the Best of the Rest - scroll and click!

Where can I find out more about what's going on? You're not a member of Run-Riot? What are you waiting for - sign up to the free newsletter and we'll share our top tips with you. Easy.

Strip-off and enjoy yourselves dear players! Bottoms up! RRxx
