Smile for Utopia!

'…troubled times are exactly when we are most in need of utopian dreamers, practical alternatives and new ideas.'

UTOPIA 2016: A Year of Imagination and Possibility has arrived. This year-long project marks the quincentenary of Thomas More's optimistic classic Utopia.

Our Guest Editor's, Ruth Potts and Gareth Evans are the artist advisors behind the program spanning fashion, science, fine art, design, literature and philosophy - taking place at Somerset House, King's College London and the Courtauld Institute. It's anarchic, inspirational, and mischievous.

Ruth and Gareth unveil what's to come in our interview - from the maverick Jeremy Deller to Fashion Utopias, TEDx talks, street art, Anarchist Night School - and much, much more.

In our Magazine section watch PJ Harvey's latest music film - 'The Wheel' directed by Seamus Murphy (from her album out in April). Or watch and share the youtube film by activist group SumOfUs to support their campaign against PepsiCo (read why here). Lover of radio comedy? Read our preview of 'Talking To Strangers' - the new weekly show from Sally Phillips (Smack the Pony).

For competitions - check out our Offers page. As for the Best of the rest - rummage through our genre-bending pages where you'll find plenty of top-drawer happenings!

Have a visionary week dear Player! Bottoms up! RRxx
