'nuh expect nuttin fram a pig but ah grunt'

Dear Reader, before we introduce our Guest Editor, a quick update from RRHQ.

First up, it's a joy to be back with our What's On newsletter (sign up here). We'll be running a handful of editions through out July and August, inviting some incredibly charming and insightful individuals from the creative industries to be our Guest Editors.

Together, we'll delight you with interviews and recommendations to some of London's more inspiring and seductive culture.

Let's get to it.

After 15 months without any audience, Soho Theatre re-opened with the much anticipated Shedding A Skin by Verity Bargate Award winner Amanda Wilkin (until 17 July).

You got it, we're over the moon to welcome Amanda as our Guest Editor this week.

Shedding A Skin has been described as a story for our times - a play about finding kindness in unexpected places. A welcome tonic, right?

Amanda's work has been endorsed by the likes of Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Russell T Davies (It’s A Sin). It takes a witty and genius writer to pull wisdom from a pigs grunt!

If you can't grab an IRL ticket, there's a LIVE STREAM tonight (15 July) - tune in!

Read our interview between Amanda and her producer, Ameena Hamid, here.

Other Run-Riot interviews and features from black queer femme babirye 'babs' bukilwa; counter culture film aficionado Chris McGill; Walthamstow's Fellowship Square Creative Producer Ben Lloyd-Evans; and hosts of the new Arts Work podcast Ankur Bahl and Phoebe Reith.

Well, dear Player, while we collectively navigate the summer months together we can't encourage you enough to champion and support London's beautifully diverse and buzzing culture.

Engage how you can, enjoy, stay safe. We'll write again soon. Bottoms up! Jamie x
