Nourishing Delights!

We revel that it's curtains for January, and as a final display of defiance of this misery guts of a month we present you plenty of food for thought to nourish on! Our Guest Editor this week is the renowned writer and philosopher Alain de Botton, who talks us through his latest book, Religion for Atheists. You can see him speak on the subject live at King's place next week - or visit the establishment he started, The School for Life, and find out how to 'Make a Difference'. Alain is also involved in judging some of the best new ideas for London - you can still win a night in the elusive Room for London - the Artangel boat hotel moored atop the Southbank Centre. Head to the Southbank for their gloriously morbid Festival of Death - we have Sunday day passes to be won! Still searching for something? How about some serendipity and calm from storytellers like Vanessa Woolf? We also have tickets to give away for two Woody Allen flicks, Melinda and Melinda and Midnight in Paris at the BFI Southbank. And get involved with some of the city's theatre Critics as they discuss the latest shows they've seen at The Criterion - we have a pair of tickets to be won! There's plenty to read about in our magazine section, from Run-Riot's resident artist Zoe Catherine Kendall who speaks to Francesca Goodwin about the launch of Imprint; to an interview with choreographers Maria Cassar and Amy Watson from the Resolution! season at The Place. Ready to really make a difference? Arm yourselves with some superglue and have a watch of these information films from activist group Aviation Justice (featuring the unstoppable Dan Glass from Planestupid) on RRTV. Plus hear the latest from the girls in the music industry on The Other Woman podcast 12. The year of the Dragon is upon us - so go forth and seek success, whatever that means to you! We'll be here to keep you posted on the best places to party, dance, watch, listen, learn and just go wild - check out the best of the rest! A final Hot Tips: Aura Satz at the BFI Gallery, LIMF / Sugar Beast Circus: {Event(Dimension):} at Jacksons Lane, and Lido Love at London Fields Lido! Not signed up? Keep in the loop by signing up to our weekly Newsletters here. Have a great week! Bottoms up! RRxx
