Love Trumps Hate

Poet, writer and performer Salena Godden is our Guest Editor this week. Her interview is peppered with inspiration, posititvity, and courage. She tells us about her latest work Pessimism is for Lightweights: 13 Pieces of Courage and Restance (published by Rough Trade Books); and how she and a group of artists (Mark Rylance, Vanessa Redgrave, Jonny Flynn, Alexei Sayle and a bunch more) are are teaming up with Stop The War Coalition to protest the 45th's visit to the UK. She'll be whizzing all over the country (and London) this summer reading new work - check out where and when here.

There's more satirical news as the Trump Baby goes global, following a massively successful crowdfunder campaign: meaning the giant orange baby blimp will officially fly! If that's not quite enough, why not join the campaign to get Green Day's 'American Idiot' to number one - running from 6-12 July. Last but not least, if you identify as a woman and you've got a performance project you'd love to bring to life, why not respond to Woman SRSLY's open call for proposals.

For more culture gems and competitions (Postcards From The 48%; Pussy Liquor; David Lynch Film Festival; and Life is Wonderful) - browse our Offers page. As for the best of the rest - rummage through our genre-bending pages where you'll find plenty of haut happenings.

Lastly, if you're a fan of Childish Gambino - there are a few tickets left (last time we looked). Get in!

Here's to wishing you a triumphant week dear Players! Be loud and proud. RR xx
