Ladies and Gentlemen

Shunt have a new show. Our Guest Editor this week is one of the founding artists David Rosenberg. In his explicit, cut-to-the-chase interview he tells us very little about the show - but teases us with clues. This we do know - their latest work, The Boy Who Climbed Out of His Face opens on 14th August at the Jetty in Greenwich. And You, dear reader - and potential audience member - are the crucial, final creative component the shunt team are waiting for. Curious? Read our interview here.

In our Magazine section we talk to Mark Espiner, co-founder of Sound&Fury about their latest work Charlie Ward - an immersive, sensory production in the Cinema Museum (read more). We also catch up with Neil Bartlett, one half of the creative team behind LETTER TO AN UNKNOWN SOLDIER - a nationwide project inviting the public to send a letter to the unknown soldier on Platform One, Paddington Station. Over 17'000 people have sent letters including Stephen Fry, Malorie Blackman, Andrew Motion, Lee Child, Louise Welsh, and Kamila Shamsie. Send yours before 4 August - read more here. We also talk to renowned choreographer Iván Pérez about his work, Young Men which he's creating with BalletBoyz - you can see an extract at the Roundhouse this week - read more. Finally, Alex Zinovieff tells us about The Boatshed's nights at the Auriol Kensington Rowing Club. Fancy that!

As for our Best of the Rest - here's our quick fire round: Shuffle Festival - Dead Man, Exploding Cinema, Art Macabre, and more / Ursula Martinez / Miss Behave / La Freak Peep Show / The Internet is Series Business / FEAST / Hot August Fringe / Forensic Architecture / Hector and the Search for Happiness / Floating Cinema / Book Slam / Art Social '14 / IQ2 / and Boom and Bang Circus!

Finally - don't forget to join Jeremy Deller, Bob and Roberta Smith, Nalini Malani and thousands more for Lights Out at 10pm on Monday (marking the centenary of WWI), and today is the last chance to vote for the 10 ideas to make a better world, faster - as part of the Google Impact Challenge.
